Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.

Romans 12:15 NIV

Practical ways to help

  • Bring a meal.
  • Clean the house.
  • Run errands.
  • Send a card.
  • Say the baby’s name.
  • Remember due dates and anniversaries.

Kind things to say

  • “I’m so sorry.”
  • “I love you. I’m here.”
  • “I’m thinking of [baby’s name] today.”
  • “Can I bring dinner on Tuesday?”

Please avoid saying

  • “Everything happens for a reason.”
  • “At least…”
  • “You can try again.”
  • “Why don’t you just adopt?”

Hard days come back

Holidays and due dates can be hard. Every year.

  • Write the dates down.
  • Check in.
  • A simple text means so much.

If you feel unsafe or don’t want to be alive, call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (free, 24/7). In an emergency, call 911.
